Count of status changes

The "Count of Status Changes" field in Jira shows the total number of times an issue's status has changed throughout its lifecycle. This includes every time the issue moves from one status to another within the workflow, such as transitions from "Open" to "In Progress" or from "In Progress" to "Done."
What It Shows:
Number Only: This field displays only the total count of status changes for an issue. For example, if an issue has moved from "Open" to "In Progress" and then from "In Progress" to "Done," the count would be 2.
What It Does NOT Show:
No Transition History: The "Count of Status Changes" does not provide detailed history of the transitions. It will not show which specific statuses the issue transitioned through or when those transitions occurred.
No Current Status Details: The field also does not give insight into the current status of the issue or a comparison of statuses over time.
Important Reminder: If you are looking for detailed transition history (i.e., what statuses an issue has moved through, at what times, and in what order), this field is not the right tool.
