How to hide and unhide data inside reports
In the Universal Visual Builder you can hide a field without removing it. The field keeps all its settings, and you can show it again with one click. Use this to switch between a detailed and a summary view of the same report.
Hide a field
Open the report and click Edit if the Configure panel is closed.
Expand Set chart and fields.
Click the eye icon next to the field — in Rows grouping, Columns grouping or Cell content.
In this example the rows are grouped by Project and then by Issue Type:
After you click the eye icon on Issue Type, the icon is crossed out and the report shows one row per project:
Show the field again
Click the crossed-out eye icon. The field comes back with all its settings.
To remove a field completely, click ⊗ next to it instead.
Example: switch between two views
Add two groupings to Rows grouping, for example Assignee and Issue Type. Hide one of them to switch between a short and a detailed view, without setting the field up again.
