How can I hide Jira Work Log panel and Log work option in Data Center?
What you might encounter
You might see two options for logging work (Log work) and two work log panels. These duplicated tabs and options appear, because Jira has its own standard time tracking option, and Timesheet Builder provides the possibility to log time and to see the time tracking panel. We are using pretty much the same naming to avoid any misunderstanding of Jira’s out-of-the-box functionality.
You might also need to disable the “+”-icon on the time tracking panel on the Jira work log panel, as this is another option to add Jira work logs. If users add work logs this way, they won’t be included in the Timesheet Builder app statistic. So if you want to see the work logs in Timesheet Builder, please continue reading and learn how to deactivate this option.
Why should I switch some options off?
Please note, that we strongly recommend hiding this standard tab and options, because it will help to avoid confusion and losing work logs by saving all logged hours in one place. To hide the Jira standard option, please kindly follow the instructions below.
How can I hide the Jira work log panel?
Open Administration – Issues
Find the Issue features section in the left navigation and navigate to Time tracking
Click on the Plugins settings hyperlink
On the page that just opened, scroll down and find the Issue Tab Panels Plugin (you can also use browser search, which opens using Ctrl+f hotkeys)
Click on the arrow icon near the plugin name
Click on the small + icon near N of 4 modules enabled
Make sure that the Work Log Tab Panel is disabled or disable it if it is enabled
How can I hide the Jira “Log work” feature?
Open Administration – Issues
In the Issue features section in the left navigation find Time tracking
Click on Plugins settings hyperlink
On the new page that just opened scroll down and navigate to Issue Operations Plugin (you can also use browser search, which opens using Ctrl+f hotkeys)
Click on the small arrow icon near the plugin name
Click on the “+”-icon near N of 37 modules enabled
Scroll down and navigate to the View Issue Ops Bar Work Link
Make sure, that it is disabled or disable if it is enabled
How can I hide the plus icon on the Jira Time-tracking panel?
Open Administration – Issues
Navigate to the Issue features section in the left navigation and click on Time tracking

On the new page that just opened scroll down and find Atlassian Jira - Plugins - View Issue Panels (you can also use the browser search, which opens using Ctrl+f hotkeys)
Click on the arrow icon near the plugin name
Click on the small “+”-icon near N of 45 modules enabled
Make sure that webfragments.view.issue.timetracking.create.worklog is disabled or disable it if it is enabled
