Overview

This guide lets you install Report Builder on your Jira Cloud. Find out what you need to start the installation and how to do it properly and easily.

Required permissions

Firstly, for an installation of Report Builder on Jira Cloud, it’s necessary to:

have a Jira account with administrative rights,
and to have an Atlassian account.

Installation from Jira

Installation Steps

Step 1

Log into Jira with your administration account. Navigate to the Apps tab and click on it, choose Explore More Apps in the dropdown menu, and click on it.

Step 1 - Navigate to “Apps” → “Explore more apps“

Step 2

Search for Report Builder at the Jira/Marketplace apps page. Find Report Builder using the search, choose the app in the search results, and open the Report Builder page by clicking on the app.

Step 2 - Type Report Builder in a search panel and then click on the Report Builder

You will be navigated to the Report Builder Page on Atlassian Marketplace:

Step 3

Click on the Try it free button. You will be offered to install the Report Builder for Jira — see the announcement about the app and use the Start free trial button for your free Report Builder installation.

Step 3 - Click on “Try it free“ button, read the announcement, and click “Start Free Trial”

Step 4

Wait for the application to get ready. You will see Progress Cycle icon on your screen top right, and an announcement text in the bottom left.

Announcer will change it’s text once the app is installed

Congratulations! Installation is finished. You may proceed now to Report Builder Configuration

Step 5

Proceed to App Configuration. To do so, you may click Manage App button from the successful installation pop-up menu (Option A), or navigate to Manage apps page from the left panel of the Marketplace Page (option B) as shown below.

License Term

Notice the license term: your trial version will be valid for 30 days, and after the trial period expires, you will be charged for the app.

Installation from the Atlassian Marketplace website

Installation Steps

Step 1

Open Atlassian Marketplace website Atlassian Marketplace in your browser. Find Report Builder via search

Step 1 - Search for Report Builder on the Atlassian Marketplace

Step 2

Open the Report Builder page by clicking on the app.

Step 2 - Open Report builder page on the Marketplace

Step 3

On the Report Builder page choose Cloud in the dropdown menu:

Step 3 - Choose “Cloud“ and click “Try it for free“

Step 4

Click on the Try it free button. After that, you will be offered to choose a site to start the Report Builder free trial. Click “Start free trial“ button as shown below:

Log in with your Atlassian account if you are not logged in yet and see the dropdown menu — choose your site here and click on the Start free trial button.

Note: You will not be able to start a trial unless you have at leas one Jira Cloud instance (subscription) running.

Step 6

You will be offered to install the Report Builder for Jira — see the announcement about the app and use the Start free trial button for your free Report Builder installation.

Step 7

Wait for the application to get ready. You will see Progress Cycle icon on your screen top right, and an announcement text in the bottom left.

Congratulations! Installation is finished. You may proceed now to Report Builder Configuration
