How to read the chart

If you want more details on how to understand the charts and the metrics Created and Resolved, to improve your ITSM processes, please refer to this explanation of our Created vs. Resolved Report.

Navigate to the Report

To navigate to the Report Builder Home screen to create meaningful reports, you need to click on Apps > Report Builder

Choose your options, click update and your report will be created.

The newly Created vs. Resolved report is a bidirectional bar chart, shown against the zero line. Whatever ticket was created will go above zero and whatever was closed will go down.

Now, you can delete or edit it further by clicking on the pen icon.

Here, you can add other Field Type pickers. But remember that you need to program the behavior of the newly added pickers.

You may also change the owner of the report. Owner is a person who will have the report in the My Reports-section of Report Builder. Notice: If you pass the ownership to someone else, you will no longer be able to make changes to report settings!

And you can define who can view and edit your report:

Report

Like many of our Report Builder report types, the Created vs. Resolved Report can be comprehensively customized after creation. Permission schemes, ownership, and editing access can be defined. Export your Report

You can export the entire report as a PDF. Advanced users could also get use of exporting the reporting configuration as JSON.

You can also export all the created charts and tables on their own by hitting the download button and choosing the export option: image for the chart,

and print, CSV or JSON for data tables.

How to create the report from the Jira dashboard

All Report Builder reports can be created directly from scratch in the Jira dashboard or imported to it using a gadget.

To do this, navigate to Dashboard > Seek for Report Builder: Scripted Report and hit Add.

Now, you need to choose which report you want to import or create from scratch. For now, we want to import our recently created report.

All the settings except the filter are kept like you saved it. So select the filter once more and click Save.
