Overview

Conditional formatting is a feature that allows you to build fancy tables and highlight specific information, if it meets selected conditions. It might be helpful to highlight some numbers, if they are bigger than a specific value or if specific text line is met in the table.

Conditional formatting is available in Style section. It appears for Simple table and Pivot table. Please note, that it is not available for the rest of charts.

Please note that currently Styles are applied only to in app view. If you export the table, styles will not be applied to the cells.

Please note, that conditional formatting is available for the new Universal Report and any reports that are based on Universal Report.

Use conditional formatting

Add a condition

To customize the look of your table, please add a conditional formatting by expanding Style section and clicking on “+ Add a condition”. You will see settings for a new condition.

First, please select Field. Styles will be applied to chosen field, if condition criteria is met.

Please note, that it is only possible to add a field for building condition only if that field is added in Set data as a Row, Column or Measure.

Please note, that if you switch to another field that is condition base, condition will be changed to default for selected field. Any other color and font choice will be kept.

Depending on field type, list of conditions can be different.

Depending on chosen condition you will see one or two fields to specify your condition. Please kindly select or type values.

Below the fields you will see options to style borders, cell background and text color. You can also select a custom font and its size.

You can add multiple conditions, and all of them will be applied. It is even possible to add multiple conditions to one field

Please note that if there are some conditions that overwrite each other, last added condition will be applied.

Please note, that if you switch from Pivot table to Simple table chart or vice versa in Set chart, condition list will be adjusted. By switching from Pivot table to Simple table the only conditions will be kept that are based on fields added as columns. Rows and measures based conditions will be removed. If you switch from Simple table to Pivot table, conditions will be moved, if new pivot table contains the same columns as previous Simple table.
