How to add Original estimate and Remaining fields to your space (project)?

If Time tracking has been added to the Field configuration, but the "Original Estimate" and "Remaining" fields are still not displayed in your issues, you may need to add these fields to the work item layouts. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Please kindly open your Jira instance and expand Spaces

  2. Click on three dots near desired space

  3. Select Space settings

  4. You will be redirected to settings. Please expand Work items

  5. Select Layout

  6. Click on Edit workitem layout

  7. Make sure, that Original estimation and Remaining estimation are added to Context fields or to hidden fields presented below Hide when empty

Context fields are always shown on the right side of your work item. Hidden fields can be seen in the ticket by expanding More section.

If these fields have some value, they are displayed in Details section above.

8. Save your changes if you applied any by clicking on Save changes button
