Overview

The Worklogs tab contains settings related to worklogs work logs security. On this tab, you can choose if employees are allowed to add work logs, which do not relate to a team. For the Data Center version, you can also set if secured worklogs work logs can be used or if only public work logs are allowed.

How to allow usage of secured worklogs? (Data Center only)

Please note, that secured worklogs option is currently available only for Data Center version.

As Jira administrator you can prevent secured worklogs usage. On Configuration level there is a Worklogs tab. This tab contains following options:

  • Allow public worklogs only

  • Allow secured worklogs usage

You can switch between options and adjust configuration according your business needs. If you switch from “Allow secured worklogs usage“ to “Allow public worklogs only“, new teams can be created only with public worklogs option. Existing teams, which are using secured worklogs visbility options will not be affected. Their worklogs will not be published.

How can I disable option to add worklogs outside of any team?

By the default it is allowed to add worklogs outside of any team. Checkbox “Allow to log time outside of any team“ is marked. If you want to restrict it and if you are sure, that all employees, who should track time are assigned to at least one team with Team Member role of any other ustom role with Work on issues permissions, you can disable this option.

To disallow to add worklogs outside of any team, please unselect the checkbox “Allow to log time outside of any team“.

How to save applied changes?

Changes are saved automatically.This tab has two subtabs.

On General subtab you can manage worklog visibility in Data Center and decide, if users are allowed to log time out of any team.
